Photos from June 2010. First lambs born on May 22 at about 1pm (scroll down for newborn photos). The sun is shining and the sheep
are loving every minute.
(below) On May 22 Fjola (10-year-old Moorit Grey Triplet ewe) had two ram lambs. First one was Black Grey Badgerface, the second was Black Grey. Both have
nice horn buds that didn't interfere with lambing. Fjola is a wonderful mother with plenty of milk and lots of instinct. We spent an intense week watching her get
closer and closer to lambing, with one false alarm on Wednesday. Even though she kept us on pins an needles, her labor and delivery were very normal and easy.
These little guys are doing great, already trying to hop around and play. Fjola is also doing just fine. More photos to come!

(above) Fjola and her lambs left the barn this morning for the first time (May 29).
Unfortunately it hasn't been the best weather, so the ground was pretty soggy. But
the little guys didn't care. They've been running and jumping all morning. They sure
are adorable. Fjola has been taking them all over the pasture. While she eats,
they've been exploring.
(left) Freydis had a single black grey ram lamb on Monday night (May 21). He was
very large and needed a lot of help during delivery. For a moment I doubted he'd
make it, but here he is, a little miracle lamb. He and mom are doing great. He's
healthy, huge, and energetic. Freydis is enjoying her first time as a mom.
